We have assigned the title “Farlangen” (Desire) to our adaptation of music composed by Henokh Kon who was married to the Dybbuk’s choreographer Judith Berg—famed for her Dance of Death. This song was sung in the sewing scene by Lili Liliana as Leye, longing for her departing Khonen (played in the film by her real-life husband Leon Liebgold). We have taken the liberty of altering the singer’s focus of desire from “der” to “di.”
